Special thanks to Jerry, Tom and Julie for being super helpful throughout our stay. Most importantly, it’s an absolutely beautiful courtyard, and it offers shadow puppet art performances three times a week, which we attended three times. We’re so glad we chose to stay here, and we’ll make sure to be back next time we’re in Beijing.

I love the antique furnishings, traditional Chinese musical performance and calligraphy activities that the hotel provided every evening. Sipping authentic tea while enjoying traditional Chinese musical performance in a serene courtyard made it the perfect retreat after a long day in the sun. Highly recommended!

We were so impressed by how gracious and helpful all the staff were. They treated us like family! We are American and speak very little Mandarin. But the staff responded immediately to messages in English, arranged a car from the train station, took us to and from the Great Wall, and even let us stay later in our room so we could freshen up before we left for Beijing. We will be back!
