The room was clean, warm and beautiful. You can find everything you needed in the room (slippers, mini bar, TV, tea and kettle). Location is next to the old town. The breakfasts were really amazing. The staff is very friendly. I would like to come here again. Highly recommend!

My room had a fine view of the cathedral. Notwithstanding the location, the hotel was quiet. I was pleased and surprised by the quality of the furnishings in the room. Although the hotel did not have a restaurant, there were several excellent restaurants in the immediate vicinity. The breakfast was excellent.

Surrounded by the Zavoi Park, 300 metres from the centre of Ramnicu Valcea, Grand Hotel Sofianu hosts an art museum with works of 500 representative Romanian plastic artists. The location is excellent! It´s close to the city center and next to a gorgeous park that we enjoyed exploring every day. The breakfast was delicious, the rooms were big and the staff was extremely kind and helpful - especially Alexandra from Reception :) Springtime is especially beautiful there
