This hotel lies 20 metres from the Puerta de la Santa, a historic entrance into Ávila. It offers free Wi-Fi and great views over the Amblés Valley, city walls and Gredos Mountains. the photo does not do the location justice. The hotel is right in the middle of everything (well, maybe a 2 minute walk). Avila I’d a town built on a hill / you have to go up and/or down to go anywhere! But - for one who has issues with hills, I found it ok. The hills were neither as steep or as long as I feared. Juan Carlos - the owner and/or manager of the property- was a godsend. He carried my bags, remembered my name (not always easy for a Spaniard!) and attended me well before his cafeteria when we had a Birds Eye view of the Easter procession. He called a taxi for me in departure and followed it up with st least 7 other calls to make sure that I reached my train, which I did with only minutes to spare: His hotel was spotlessly clean, all accessories working and friendly. it’s not a palace, but I liked it - and I’m a bit fussy.

Situated in Barco de Avila the charming hotel is located in natural surroundings offering the perfect location to rest and unwind in a picturesque town. What an excellent choice/ its some way from Seville, but that is the charm of this magnificent location with really good facilities. The history of this pristine farm, layout of buildings and visitor facilities made our 2 night stay a real highlight.

Situato nel quartiere storico dell'affascinante città, questo palazzo del XVI secolo è stato magnificamente ristrutturato e sorge all'interno di graziosi giardini. We were a group of cyclists, travelling through Spain. The staff in the hotel were amazingly helpful, especially Ana, who even helped us with our luggage. The rooms were lovely, the beds comfortable, and the showers were hot. We had a lovely meal in the restaurant. We'd already been on the road for 8 days, and this was voted the best hotel and best dinner on the trip.
