It was so lovely to meet John and Steph, a real delight. It was great the get some history of the area and excellent recommendations for walks and places to eat. As the other reviews said, the breakfast was also a highlight of our stay. So delicious! And watching the birds whilst having breakfast was just joyful. A real gem of a place, thoroughly recommended to everyone.

Cottage Lodge Hotel is set in the Victorian village of Brockenhurst, nestled in the heart of the New Forest National Park. Cottage Lodge was very comfortable and had excellent facilities. The breakfasts were excellent and the selections of breakfast meals were all enjoyable. The hotel was perfect for us as we could walk to the bike rental near the train station to pick up our bikes. As we did two days of biking, it worked out well. Having a designated car parking spot was nice as we always had a spot to park. From the hotel you can walk to the restaurants and pubs, no need to drive.

Lying in the heart of the New Forest National Park, The White Buck is a former country house boasting 20 bedrooms, free Wi-Fi and free on-site parking. Lovely cosy well equipped room. Dog friendly! Great service by a wonderful team of staff. Comfy bed, wide choice at breakfast and we really enjoyed our evening meal in the restaurant. Nice garden with lots of seating and shade.

The Crown Manor House Hotel is perfectly located in the heart of Lyndhurst Village, the capital of the New Forest National Park. This boutique hotel offers spacious rooms, free Wi-Fi and free parking.... An amazing looking hotel not at all what I was expecting in an excellent location, easy to reach via public transport. Very good breakfast with plenty of choice. Lovely clean room and comfortable bed. Staff were very welcoming and friendly and the restaurant menu is well worth a look.

Set in Brockenhurst, a 25-minute drive from Southampton, The Huntsman of Brockenhurst is a forest inn dating back to the 13th century that has undergone a major refurbishment. Comfortable, lovely staff, cosy bar area, good breakfast, fantastic room!

In Sway, within the beautiful New Forest, The Manor at Sway features leafy gardens and a traditional restaurant. Its luxury bedrooms are set in a grand Edwardian house. Very cute hotel. Breakfast was quite nice. Comfortable room with very clean facilities. Staff were all very kind.

Woodlands Lodge Hotel is a privately owned 3-star country house hotel, in an idyllic location on the edge of the New Forest. Lovely hotel. Perfect room for a family of 5 and very large with all the facilities. Amazing location in the new forest. Garden was very nice as well. The children loved it! We didn’t have breakfast but we had dinner and it was very good, even though kitchen closes at 8.30pm. Would really love to stay here again as it is everything as described and more.
