Built in 1973, the iconic The Taj Mahal Tower Mumbai stands majestically across from the Gateway of India, overlooking the Arabian Sea. Absolutely everything. The location is perfect, the hotel itself (inside and outside) is beautiful but most of all, the staff were on another level. It’s a very busy hotel with lots of celebrities (cricketers) and I was still treated like I was the only one in the whole hotel. Wonderful stay

Residency is a very good address if you're looking for a calm and relaxed stay in Mumbai and still be close to the train station and some of the main sights. The staff was absolutely amazing and welcoming and gave us great support in getting things organised. The room was nice and clean. I can warmly recommend Residency to anyone new to Mumbai (as we were).

Staff were very helpful & polite. Even at past midnight. Flights to catch, rest to be had. Rooms are very clean & comfortable.

The Gordon House Hotel is located within 600 metres from the iconic Gateway of India, the National Gallery of Modern Art and Prince of Wales Museum. Free WiFi access is available. This was a great place to begin my stay in India and get acclimated. Very friendly and helpful staff, very clean spacious room with everything I needed, toiletries, free bottles of water, coffee kettle, quiet room, slept great, good AC, good restaurant in the building, great breakfast included with room, a buffet and the chef woukd also cook free breakfast to order. Excellent location right by the Gateway to India, where many tours start, near the part of town with the most sites to see, a few minutes walk to Colaba marke, the Oberoi hotel, and many restaurants. I had a really great stay for 3 nights.
