Il Relais Casali della Cisterna occupa due edifici del 19° secolo circondati da un parco privato con vista sul Lago Maggiore. I don't often take the trouble to post reviews, but the staff really deserve a positive review. They managed to pull off the perfect balance between casual and professional, between friendly and courtesy. From the reception desk to the porters. While I'm at it: very comfortable, large bed, spacious room, big bathroom. All very nice.

Non posso che lasciare il massimo punteggio per questo hotel. Curato, pulito, la camera dotata di ogni comfort e personale estremamente gentile e disponibile. Colazione in terrazza ottima. Un’oasi tranquilla e silenziosa nel caos del lungo lago, con area relax curatissima. Siamo state benissimo e torneremo sicuramente. Consigliatissimo!

A really lovely hotel with a luxurious vibe from the turn of the century - Italian elegance! The superior room was HUGE with a beautiful lakeview terrace, everything was spotlessly clean and the service very welcoming. Breakfast is great with plenty of choices.

It was a beautiful hotel, located right at the lake. The rooms were very clean, spacious and had all amenities we needed. We also booked a lake view hotel, which we highly recommend. The view was breathtaking. The breakfast was tasty, there was a variety of foods to choose from, from baked goods to fresh fruit and vegetables, from sweet to savory. The room service was exceptional, the staff friendly and professional and the hotel felt safe and welcoming. It was rainy during our stay, so we spent more time in the hotel than planned, and were happy to have been in the Hotel Ancora, as it made those rainy days extra cozy and comfortable.
