Miyajima Guesthouse Mikuniya is a traditional Japanese-style guesthouse located on Miyajima (Itsukushima). I thought this would be just a nice sleepover place and nothing more but it is so beautiful and has a very unique traditional feel that it made our stay on the island so much better. You even get free breakfast/dinner if you don't have time to eat outside and depart early in the morning/ don't manage to fetch a table in a reataurant in the evening because there is limited amount of restaurants that are open in late evening or early morning. The whole house is very authentic and the family that runs the place also offers a little souvenir shop with super cheap prices of local souvenirs, some even locally handmade. Thr staff is super nice and the xommom areas welcoming to spend the evenings in game/living room. Also had beautiful garden and amazing views from the rooms right on the sea

A soli 7 minuti a piedi dal Santuario di Itsukushima, sito dichiarato Patrimonio dell'Umanità dall'UNESCO. Our stay at this modern hotel on Miyajima Island was fantastic from start to finish. The room was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable — a perfect place to relax after a day of exploring. Although the hotel is about a kilometer from the ferry terminal, they offer a free and very convenient transfer service, which made everything super easy. The location is excellent, just a short walk to the famous Itsukushima Shrine, the iconic torii gate, and also close to the ropeway up Mount Misen. We chose a plan with dinner and breakfast included, and the dining experience was truly exceptional — dinner was a beautifully presented multi-course fine dining experience, and breakfast was a traditional Japanese-style meal that we really enjoyed. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and check-in, check-out, and arranging the transfer were all effortless. The small public bath was a great way to relax, especially the outdoor section, which was tastefully decorated with plants and felt amazing on a chilly night after a day of hiking. Highly recommended for a peaceful and luxurious stay on Miyajima!

Rinnovato nel 2013 e situato a 3 minuti a piedi dal terminal dei traghetti di Miyajima, il Sakuraya offre camere convenienti in stile giapponese con vista sulla montagna o sul mare e la connessione... L'isola di Miyajima è stata una sorpresa completamente inaspettata e questa struttura ha influito positivamente. Si trova a due passi dal porto dove attracca il traghetto da e per Hiroshima e quindi anche vicinissima al famoso tori sul mare. Consiglio tantissimo di passare la serata sull'isola, perché c'è un'atmosfera mistica e di assoluta tranquillità che viene un po' a mancare durante il giorno con la presenza di tantissimi turisti che arrivano per una gita da Hiroshima. La struttura presenta i letti tipici giapponesi con tatami, è quindi un'esperienza divertente. Mette anche a disposizione un onsen molto base, ma molto carino da fare come esperienza. Noi inoltre siamo arrivati la sera e ci hanno fornito una mappa con i migliori ristoranti del centro, che però chiudono molto presto.

Perfect location to walk to local sites and lots of shopping & food around. When making the booking, it seemed as though breakfast was included but at check in that wasn't the case. We did pay for breakfast 1 day but it wasn't my favorite. The yogurt was incredible, the little jello thing was so good and I enjoyed some rice and salmon but the rest of the offerings weren't to my taste.

Premiato con 3 stelle Michelin, l'Hotel Granvia Hiroshima è collegato direttamente con la Stazione JR Hiroshima del Tokaido Shinkansen (treno ad alta velocità), e offre 6 ristoranti, un servizio... It was very pleasant to stay.The location and view were superb.The room was cozy. It gives an aesthic environment.

Riaperto ad aprile 2014 dopo i lavori di ristrutturazione, il Miyajima Morinoyado offre camere confortevoli e un ampio bagno pubblico. Esperienza bellissima da veri giapponesi! La posizione della struttura è eccellente, a 5 minuti a piedi dal Santuario e dalla via dei negozietti. Personale molto gentile, l'appartamentino è molto ampio, dotato di ingresso, camera, verandina e bagno. Dormire sul tatami è risultato comodissimo, e la onsen è un'esperienza da fare assolutamente in Giappone! Incluse cena (ottima) e colazione giapponese (qui a seconda dei gusti). Speriamo di tornarci!
