Ryokan Asunaro: A Traditional Japanese Inn in Takayama. Nestled just a 6-minute walk from Takayama Station and the Nohi Bus Center, Ryokan Asunaro offers an authentic Japanese inn experience. We went as a group and we loved the ryokan. It was very spacious, everything was very clean, and it was conveniently located near the bus station, the train station, and the city center where most of the shopping takes place. The rooms were the most spacious we stayed in throughout Japan, and the staff were all very kind. I would definitely stay here again.

Located just a 1-minute walk from popular Miyagawa Morning Market in the heart of Takayama, Sumiyoshi Ryokan offers homely Japanese-style accommodation in the historic townhouse building. Podobało nam się wszystko. Jeśli ktoś chce poznać jak wygląda tradycyjny nocleg z japońską gościnnością to jest to miejsce idealne. Blisko jest też food court, gdzie można miło i smacznie spędzić wieczór.

Located in the centre of Takayama Historic District, Ryokan Tanabe 旅館田邊 is one of the most historical ryokans in the city. It features Japanese-style rooms and free WiFi in all areas. Everything really. The staff is so helpful (I asked for the ingredients of a sauce we like and they printed us a recipe, how cute). We have a massage there. So good. In your room and even good value. Dinner is in your room and they make your bed after. In the middle of town. Amazing place !

Just 40 metres from restored Edo-era post town Magome-Juku, Chaya Hotel has simple traditional rooms with futon bedding and a tatami-mat floor. Bardzo miła Gospodyni, znakomite jedzenie - byliśmy 2 dni i każdy posiłek był inny, piękna okolica, woda krystaliczna :) co do korzystania z łazienki - korzystałam wtedy gdy nikogo nie było :)

Wspaniały hotel wygodnie położony niedaleko dworca w Takajamie. Hotel można rzec butikowy z podłogami wyłożonymii matami tatami, a po hotelu chodzi się w japońskich skarpetkach. Co wieczór o godzinie 21:00 można spróbować bezpłatnie prawdziwego japońskiego ramenu, serwowanego w restauracji na parterze dla wszystkich gości bezpłatnie. Na szczególną uwagę zasługują onseny - osobno dla kobiet, osobno dla mężczyzn i dodatkowe onseny dla par czy grup znajomych, które można wynająć na wyłączność. Bardzo pomocny personel na recepcji umilił nam pobyt w tym pięknym hotelu.Bardzo dziękuję za pomoc osobom z recepcji. I polecam bardzo bogate śniadania!!!!

Boasting open-air hot spring baths looking over the city and heartfelt hospitality, Honjin Hiranoya Annex is ideally located just steps away from popular Takayama Jinya building and its morning... The food and the location were both excellent. The rooftop baths were amazing too.
