A 5-minute walk from Koen-Shimo Cable Car Station, cosy family-run ryokan Lalaca features indoor and outdoor hot-spring baths which use natural hot spring water directly pumped from the source. Everything; but the staff deserves a real kudos! They were super attentive, they even drove me to the open air museum because it was raining… And the dinner and breakfast were delicious. Fukuzumiro features an authentic Japanese atmosphere, natural hot spring baths and traditional Japanese-style rooms with garden or river views. It's a 15-minute walk from Hakone Yumoto Station. When reviewing a stay like this, you need a bit of perspective. You book a 100+ year old Japanese Ryokan, so you expect some things to be a bit "different". It's the whole point. And Fukuzumiro did not dissappoint. First: The building is GORGEOUS, using real wood everywhere (Please look at the size of some of the floor panels!). Our room had a view of the river, with the colours of the changing leaves painting a scene straight out of a Ghibli Anime. Again, because it's old, you can hear a lot, which means we could hear the soothing white noise from the river. Does it get cold? A little, between the rooms. Our room had heaters, and a heated blanket. They are getting five stars from me, but it's something to keep in mind. Second: the ONSEN! Well, it's amazing... very hot! Had no problem booking plenty of private baths. Third: The FOOD! AMAZING. It's one of the only Ryokans with Kaiseki that happily accomodated me and my wife, as we are vegetarians. Vegetarian food is rare in Japan, and I accept that I am missing an aspect of the culture because of my diet... but not here: they didn't just serve food, they really tried to give us the experience! I can't be thankful enough. Fourth, last but not least: The SERVICE! Outstanding! Our host was Onozawa-san and he was so helpful, very nice, lively, genuinely kind, and as a bonus (to us)-- he speaks good English. I don't think I've ever had better service. Ever. TL;DR: It's an old traditional japanese inn: if you can deal with a bit of "discomfort", you will have a magical time on what feels like a Studio Ghibli film. Especially if you are vegetarian.

Located just a 2-minute walk from Gora Station on the Hakone Tozan Line, Onsen Guesthouse HAKONE TENT offers free WiFi, a hot spring bath and 2 shared shower booths. We stayed in the apartment at Hakone Tent with our kids 12, 14, and 16. Sleeping arrangements were traditional futons on a raised tatami platform and everyone slept amazing. Locations is great, just a few short minutes walk from the train station. The onsen is small and rustic, but private and was very relaxing. The view from the apartment was gorgeous, and we almost didn’t want to go out, the space was so enjoyable.

Boasting natural hot spring baths, Laforet Club Hakone Gora Yunosumika offers guestrooms with modern décor or traditional Japanese ambience. Nakagora Cablecar Station is a 5-minute walk away. It was such a beautiful place and really comfortable to stay. The outside bath was so comfortable and made us really happy.

Richmond Hotel Yokohama-Bashamichi is located a 10-minute walk from Chinatown and a 15-minute walk from popular Red Brick Warehouse and Minato Mirai areas. It offers a 24-hour reception and free WiFi.... The staff are very helpful and the location is fantastic, several train stations nearby, several groceries, A pleasant stay overall, Special thanks to Matsuta she was so so helpful, She exceeded my expectations, I am really so thankful to her, The breakfast was splendid, Thank you so much as it was a great experience.

Located in front of Sakuragi-Cho Station, the high-rise Yokohama Washington Hotel offers free WiFi throughout the property, air-conditioned rooms and a restaurant with spectacular bay-side views. I am a repeat patron of this hotel and this chain. I book through an internet site. It's sometimes hit or miss on how nice the room is, but generally very comfortable and a fantastic location. I will stay again in future

Located in the Gora hot-spring area, Merveille Hakone Gora offers spacious Western rooms with a terrace. The private onsen on the patio was great. Only would have been better if it would have been mineral/hot spring water instead of tap. Breakfast was very good as well. Medicinal Tea Bar was a surprise!

Hakone Pax Yoshino is located a 12-minute walk from Hakone Yumoto Train Station and offers indoor/outdoor hot-spring baths and traditional multi-course Kaiseki meals. Breakfast was great. We were able to have dinner there as an add on, and the meal was amazing.

Awarded the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence in 2015, Hotel JAL City Kannai Yokohama offers modern rooms with free wired internet access. Free Wi-Fi is available at the public areas. Have stayed before and decided to return. Excellent staff
