Il Santa Bárbara Eco-Beach Resort si trova a Ribeira Grande, sulla costa settentrionale dell'Isola di São Miguel. Location- right on a cliff overlooking a beautiful black sand beach. Perfect! Rooms, spacious with a private hot tub that was quite relaxing. Breakfast- just the right amount of local products with the included option of made to order eggs and other quality items. Very well prepared!

Situato proprio accanto alla Laguna di Sete Cidades nell'Isola di São Miguel, nell'arcipelago delle Azzorre, il Sete Cidades Lake Lodge offre bungalow in legno caratterizzati da uno stile... Filipe the host was amazing!! So helpful and welcoming. We received an amazing welcome basket and the place was amazingly equipped with everything we could possibly need. The location is amazing!! On the water but still close to everything in town. If Im back I’m definitely booking again 🙌🏻

Situato nel cuore di Ponta Delgada, questo hotel vanta una terrazza all’ultimo piano con vista panoramica sull'Oceano Atlantico, sulle montagne e sulla città. Il porto turistico dista 500 metri. Albergo dotato di parcheggio privato, il che ha fatto la differenza notanto la quantità di multe che ho visto fare. Camere molto pulite e servizio delle receptionist eccellente. Colazione continentale con una discreta scelta di alimenti.

L’MS Vila Nova si trova nel centro di Ponta Delgada, a 1 km dal Convento da Esperança. L’hotel dispone di una piscina all’aperto. The location was perfect, in walking distance from the airport, which can be felt througout the stay as you could frequently see airplanes landing or taking off but due to the soundproof windows this is not as bothersome (it was kind of cool actually). The swimming pool was nice! (we also had one plane fly directly above us as we swam) - there are like 10 flights a day and only during the day, being a city airport, there are no flights during the night - so you don't have to fear that a plane will wake you up mid-night. The swimming pool was rarely occupied (we were staying mid-may) the initial dip was a bit cold but it got better fast enough. The staff was super nice, especially the bartender we met on our arrival. The room was nice and clean, with water and capsule coffee being refreshed daily (a regular and a decaf per person per day), the breakfast buffet had a wide enough selection so we could mix up our breakfast across our stay (and always it was nice). All in all a perfect stay, I can definitely recommend this hotel. 😊 PS: the maracuja Kima is a must try! (available at the bar)

Ospitato in un ristrutturato edificio centenario, l'Azorean Urban Lodge vanta una splendida terrazza con tavoli da pranzo, una piscina all'aperto e la connessione WiFi gratuita. This place was perfect to stay the first few nights in Sao Miguel. It had everything you need- comfy bed, separate bathroom and a equipped kitchen. I stayed in a single room the first night and then my friends and I shared a room with three single beds and attached bathroom. Parking can be tricky- the streets are narrow but we did not have any problems finding spots near the lodge. Also, you will hear planes overhead- this is close to the airport so it makes it convenient in that way but if you don't want that noise, you will want to stay farther away from the airport.

Il Pico do Refúgio - Casas de Campo combina un ambiente naturale con storia, arte e vista sul mare. We had an incredible stay at Pico do Refúgio, enjoying the unique experience of being the only guests for the week in this charming former tea factory. The location, atmosphere, fireplace, and cozy interior truly made our trip special. It was such a pleasure to return after a busy day to a place that felt like home. Ana was a fantastic host, and the service was exceptional. The breakfasts were varied and delicious, and after a couple of delayed flights, we were warmly welcomed with appetizers upon arrival. We especially appreciated the privacy and peacefulness of the place, as well as the stunning surroundings, including Santa Bárbara Beach and Lagoa do Fogo. Simply amazing!

La colorata Vintage Place - Azorean Guest House si trova sull'Isola di São Miguel, a 5 minuti a piedi dal centro storico di Ponta Delgada. There was a possibility of a late check-in after midnight, free parking, and a great breakfast.
