Beautiful place with garden, animals and great hikes nearby. The staff is very welcoming and kind. The home is clean and comfortable. The breakfast basket is amazing idea. We had a great time at Chao do Rio. We would like to come back again in the future. We highly recommend this place for anyone.

Este hotel de diseño, situado en las montañas del parque natural de la Sierra de la Estrella, ofrece habitaciones con vistas a las montañas y comodidades como TV LCD. Found this place somewhat randomly and spent 3 night in their basic rooms, with the deck. The architecture, interior design, food, and most importantly service were impeccable and very high value for the money we spent. Especially the staff.. they went above an beyond to make sure you felt welcome and pampered. Great location if you want to spend a bit of time away and up in the mountains (hills) of Portugal. Highly recommended. p.s. We did make a stop for dinner at the higher rated (5 star) hotel owned by the same group. This location compared to that felt nicer. Both the interior design and people felt a lot warmer here.

La Pousada da Serra da Estrela se encuentra en Covilhã y tiene una piscina al aire libre y una piscina cubierta. It's the greatest hotel ever. I loved to stay here very much. Wonderful view, located in the beautiful nature reserve. Big and clean room and heat under the floor in the bathroom. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The bonus was the snow. Great experience :) To travelers who travel by public transportation - it's possible. there is a chatel that drives from Coviliha to the hotel and arrives at the top of Torre to enjoy the ski and snow view.

El Hotel Santos está situado en el centro histórico de Guarda, a 150 metros de la catedral de la ciudad y a 10 minutos en coche de las zonas verdes del parque natural Serra da Estrela. La atención del personal y sobretodo las sen̈oras del desayuno. El concerto del hotel entremedio de las murallas de la ciudad.
