Located in Seia, Chao do Rio - Turismo de Aldeia features rustic homes, as well as an outdoor biologic swimming pool and free bicycles. Beautiful place with great hikes nearby. They offer free bikes to ride around the town. You can pet and feed the animal. The frogs croak and hop happily around. The staff is very welcoming and kind. The home is clean and comfortable. They also provide you with ingredient to cook yourself breakfast every morning. I highly recommend this place for anyone who wants a more rural experience of Portugal.

Found this place somewhat randomly and spent 3 night in their basic rooms, with the deck. The architecture, interior design, food, and most importantly service were impeccable and very high value for the money we spent. Especially the staff.. they went above an beyond to make sure you felt welcome and pampered. Great location if you want to spend a bit of time away and up in the mountains (hills) of Portugal. Highly recommended. p.s. We did make a stop for dinner at the higher rated (5 star) hotel owned by the same group. This location compared to that felt nicer. Both the interior design and people felt a lot warmer here.

It's the greatest hotel ever. I loved to stay here very much. Wonderful view, located in the beautiful nature reserve. Big and clean room and heat under the floor in the bathroom. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The bonus was the snow. Great experience :) To travelers who travel by public transportation - it's possible. there is a chatel that drives from Coviliha to the hotel and arrives at the top of Torre to enjoy the ski and snow view.

Located in the historical centre of Guarda, this hotel is 150 metres from the city’s cathedral. The green areas of the Serra da Estrela Natural Park are a 10-minute drive from the Hotel Santos. Owners Alberto and Clara were very personable, helpful and kind.
