The owner - a local woman - is very helpful and forthcoming, and she's also one of few communicative Thais with a genuine interest in foreigners that I came across on my two trips to Thailand: once I even asked her to call a bike rental shop to let them know that I would return the bicycle I was renting from them later than agreed, as unfortunately I cannot speak Thai, and she kindly obliged. Not to mention that her husband was twice kind enough to give me and other guests a ride to the minivan and bus station so that I did not have to pay for a tuk tuk.

Located in Kanchanaburi, Boutique Raft Resort, River Kwai features rooms on a floating raft and within the resort’s main building. The resort was attractive and finished and maintained to a great level. Lovely rooms and bathrooms. I wish we could have stayed longer. Great food. Staff very helpful in organising us a driver to take us to Erewan falls and back to Bangkok via a stop in Kanchanaburi. Value for money for the 5 of us. Did the bamboo rafting which was a fun activity. Free pickup from Nam Tok train station.
