Valle d'Aosta: cerca glamping

This tent has a mountain view, kitchenware and seating area. Hobo Camping si trova a Courmayeur, nella regione Valle d'Aosta, a 7 km da Skyway Monte Bianco. Hobo camp is an awesome camp site at the foothills of Mont Blanc, with many hiking trails accessible directly from the camp. There is a great atmosphere with a bar/restaurant very reasonably priced, and that is from a South African traveller converting rands. There is a small shop with additional supplies, but I would say stock up in Chamonix for your daily catering needs. We booked a luxy tent, it was warm and comfy, lots of cushions, seating, outside cute table and chair. We were provided a basic selection of cutlery and crockery so there is everything you need to cook, eat and prepare foods. We hired a car in Geneva airport to get here, which I would recommend, but there were plenty of busses and transport runs up and down the mountain stopping right outside the camp and heading down to Courmeyeur where you can catch the SKyway cable car to the summits. I was particularly impressed by the communal shower/toilets. They were cleaned twice a day and always looking clean and very nice. The setting itself is spectacular and breathtaking. I doubt there is much the camp owners can do about it but during the day there were noisy trucks excavating rocks from several landslides opposite the camp. Its not an overbearing noise but to head into nature one hopes not to hear the noise of civilization and excavation outside a campsite. On the hike heading up the valley from the camp the noise soon disappeared. Amazing spot and thanks Hobo team for your hospitality.
