This is a really special experience. The tents are up a winding road and look out to the valley. The meals provided are in a cook-your-own style so you can BBQ while chatting with friends or family. We went during the winter and ended up being the only ones staying there that night and it was really special, quiet and dark. The outdoor private onsen experience was also great for the family as we were able to all get in. We weren't able to see stars at night, but it snowed heavily during the night and the kids could build snowmen and have a snowball fight in the morning.

The owner, uncle and aunty were incredibly warm welcoming and took great care of us throughout our stay. We truly enjoyed talking with them and felt so happy and comfortable. The onsen from the hotel is excellent. The tent room is better than capsules hotels. A lot of privacy, huge room. Location is also super.

When it started raining, the staff quickly distribute umbrellas in each tent for the guests. The tents and facilities were well setup. We were well protected under rain to have an enjoyable barbecue dinner.

Rooms are neat and very clean, the private onsen was really nice. I particularly like how all the food for dinner and breakfast was prepared - we got all the produce, utensil, sauce needed and there was even a 'cookbook' teaching us how to cook. You simply don't need to worry even if you don't know how to cook. In short, we got all we needed and all instructions are clear.
