Jeden Abend gibt es ein Lagerfeuer und super leckeres Essen. Man darf kein riesen Buffet erwarten, für uns war es so aber vollkommen okay. Man bekommt authentische kenianische Küche. Danke dafür :)! Die Toiletten und Duschen waren stets sauber, das Personal super freundlich. Für zwischendurch gibt es verschiedene Brettspiele, Dart usw. Die Ausflüge haben wir alle über das Camp organisiert, ebenso die Fahrten. Das hat alles sehr gut geklappt. Den Bushwalk mit Nelson können wir sehr empfehlen! Auch die über das Camp organisierte Safari mit Allan war so toll - wir haben wunderschöne Erinnerungen gesammelt. Man hat Allan richtig angemerkt, dass er auch selbst mit viel Begeisterung dabei ist. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt und würden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen 😊. Sleeping in the tents is a little adventure in itself :). Every evening there’s a campfire and delicious food. You shouldn’t expect a huge buffet, but for us, it was absolutely fine. You get authentic Kenyan cuisine – thank you for that :)! The toilets and showers were always clean, and the staff was incredibly friendly. There are board games, darts, and more available for some fun in between. We organized all our excursions and transport through the camp, and everything worked out perfectly. We can highly recommend the bushwalk with Nelson! The safari organized through the camp with Allan was also amazing – we made unforgettable memories. You could really tell that Allan was enthusiastic and passionate about what he does. We felt completely comfortable and would definitely come back 😊. This tent has a seating area, a balcony, garden views and a shared bathroom. The unit has 2 beds. The owner of the camp has assembled a great team of commited people. They provided us with everything: information, transport, guide and superb food. In fact, you can have the camp arrange your game drives in the Masai Mara and your transport from and to Nairobi, all at very competetive rates. The owner, Magdy, will explain everything to you through WhatsApp. All the accomodation and facilities are safe and clean (but opt for the larger and more comfortable rooms!). I did a lot of research before my booking, and I think Greenwood (also recommended in the Lonely Planet guide book, by the way) is among the best choices, if you are on a budget. Go there!

If you are looking for a place to stay, look no further than Talek Bush camp! Firstly, it’s a great location right next to Talek gate (a gate that’s pretty much in the middle of everything in the park, making it easy to get to anywhere in Masai Mara). The accommodation itself is right next to a river in a lovely natural setting where animals come by and you can absorb the nature. They also have people working there to escort you at night to make sure that you are safe (thank you Simon!) The space itself is great as well (we got a free upgrade to the tent which was very luxurious thank you <3). They do measures like hot water between certain hours and no electricity at night (1am-5am), which I think is great to reduce the environmental impact of tourism on the area. Food deserves a special mention - it was honestly the best food we had during our entire trip in Kenya, starting from the veggies, soups, the packed lunches/breakfast when you go on game drives. They also organise game drives and we had the best driver Solomon - big thank to him too! The staff are very welcoming and honestly I would look no further JUST BOOK!

Providing free toiletries, this tent includes a private bathroom with a bath, a shower and slippers. Die Unterkunft Mara Green Heart ist gelegen in Sekenani. Super location with tents spaced out between private winding paths on a hill with a view. Dining area with fireplace and washroom. Tents with washroom also. Great dinner was an added bonus. This was super for a group of work colleagues visiting the park.

The fireplace is a top feature of this tent. The well-equipped kitchenette has a stovetop, a refrigerator and kitchenware. Wir hatten eine unglaublich schöne Zeit in der Unterkunft, so sehr, dass wir beinahe keine Safaris unternehmen wollten. Die Unterkunft an sich ist fast wie eine Safari: Giraffen, Antilopen, Zebras,... alles um einen herum. Wir konnten uns trotzdem zu jeder Zeit wohl und sicher fühlen, da jederzeit das Personal die Tierwelt wachsam im Auge hatte. Das Essen war sehr lecker und ausgewogen. Das gesamte Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Insbesondere danken wir Joshua und Jonathan, welche stets ansprechbar waren und unseren Aufenthalt perfekt gemacht haben.

Die Unterkunft Enkusero Mara befindet sich in Aitong und bietet kostenloses WLAN. Gäste genießen einen Garten, eine Terrasse und eine Bar. It was so clean, well furnished and such wonderful and pleasant staff. One of the best boutique hotels I’ve stayed in.
