Situated in the centre of Tangier, 2 km from the beach, this guesthouse offers an outdoor swimming pool and a view of Tangier Bay. The Grand Socco and medina are a 10-minute walk away. Great location with wonderful staff! Dinners were delicious and so convenient after a day of walking around. Rooms were clean and spacious.

Breakfast buffet was very varied and you could also order separately for example poached eggs with avocado and toast. The staff where extremely attentive and despite being a buffet would insist on bringing you your coffee and toast etc. Very service minded which adds to the experience. The service was excellent across the property. We ate at the Persian restaurant and drank the local Moroccan wine which was very good. We used the excellent spa facilities, including massage which were relatively good. Cleanliness 10/10.

Easy enough to find. The staff were delightful. The room was light and airy and comfortable. Nice terrace with views to the sea, a great place for a fulsome breakfast. We loved our stay here and wanted to stay longer.

We absolutely loved our stay at Riad Dar El Maq – it truly felt like a hidden gem in the heart of the medina. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the charm of the riad. It's beautifully restored with so much attention to detail, blending traditional Moroccan design with all the comforts you need. The rooftop terrace was definitely the highlight – the view of the ocean was breathtaking, especially at sunset. We spent every evening up there just soaking it all in. The rooms were spotless, cozy, and each had its own unique touch.

Marie was such a gracious host! She was accommodating and provided us with fantastic recommendations for food. The location itself was easy to find and affords a spectacular view on the city. The property was very colourful and in a great location. The sheets were clean and felt really nice to sleep on.

Dar Sultan is located in the historic quarter of Kasbah, close central Tangier. Set within a 300-year old Moroccan-style house, it is just a few hundred metres from the beach. Traditional dar decorated with historical items. Fresh flowers everywhere. Friendly and welcoming staff. Very copious breakfast. The cat sleeping by the fire place.
