The host was very helpful and flexible with everything. The room with AC exceeded my expectations! The room without AC had a fan which was very nice. I stayed several nights and that’s the reason to that I stayed in different rooms. Overall my experience was very good and would come back!

Phoenix house is a brand new and very special little gem which is a bit tucked away from the bustling center of Ahangama. The family and staff that is running the place is incredibly friendly and makes you feel like you are at home. I had a beautiful cosy room with a lot of light, a comfy bed, clean bathroom and AC. The Sri Lankan chef Henry prepares whatever delicious meal you are craving for. A nice add-on are the events that are hosted on the rooftop now and then (at extra cost) with a beautiful ocean view.

I truly loved everything about this hotel. I had the chance to meet the host and his entire family. The host was so welcoming and kind. I was able to talk a lot with them, even as soon as I arrived, as we discussed the history of Sri Lanka. A bit of culture did me good, especially since I love learning new things. Moreover, the host and his family even let me taste some Sri Lankan specialties, especially for breakfast, and it was both fascinating and delicious! And all of this was offered for free. On top of that, the host took me on his scooter to buy new flip-flops since he knew a good store. He also took me to Cargills, to the beach, and many other places! It was an incredible and enriching experience, and you can tell it all came from the heart! Thank you so much for this experience—I highly recommend it, and I definitely plan to come back!

Awesome location - if you like to be in the center of a beach Town, with Access to all the cafes, shops and right AT the beach - this is the best. Still, pretty quiet, you hear no main street noise! The owner is very nice, always happy to help (e.g.brought us umbrella when it started raining heavily) and manages the property in a relaxed and efficient manner.

After a month of traveling around Sri Lanka, we found this oasis of peace where we could stop and rest. Initially we booked one night but upon our arrival we felt at home. The villa is extremely clean, the bright room surrounded by nature, so we extended our stay for almost a month. The owners are wonderful people, sweet and welcoming; They take care of us, us if we were their san. Priyanthika is a sweetheart, every day ready to bring samples of delicious things and fresh fruit. I felt in love with this, it is a really oasi of peace, and her dedication to religion transmits peace at all times. They helped us with every thing that we need, finding us a scooter and they took care of organizing our departure. They remained in our hearts and we can't wait to visit them soon, a big hug, see you soon. The best place of Sri Lanka ❤️✨

Great location, super clean, nice size room and bathroom - hot water too!. The kitchen was also super clean. The use of the washing machine was fantastic and a great addition. Lovely host and family.
