There were a lot of attention and care in all aspects, food quality and presentation, decoration and overall peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. It felt we were in a world apart, where people care about you, they are attentive to you and your needs. Eric and Jo were fabulous hosts discreet and yet super efficient and caring. We loved the pain perdus, they were as good as my grandmother's ones. I have food allergies, they did not dismiss them on the contrary. It was the perfect long weekend, just what we all needed. Thank you!

Situato a 25 km da Parco Divertimenti Plopsaland de Panne e 47 km da Menin Gate Memorial, Les chambres Berguoises Superbe Chambre au coeur de Bergues mette a disposizione camere a Bergues. Beautifully restored building with a stunning kitchen breakfast area and courtyard all on a quiet street. Phillipine was one of the nicest people we have met on this 6 country bike tour. We were even able to store our bikes in the courtyard.

The lady who runs the hotel was delightful. The museum was very interesting, showing a more human side of the soldiers without losing the sobriety of the historical context.

The room was spacious, the bed was comfy and the outdoor space including the large garden was accessible and beautiful. Sylvie and Erik were lovely hosts and made a delicious french breakfast.

Our hosts, Ria and Lorenzo, were exceedingly friendly, helpful and kind. Location could not be better as was every aspect of Villa Vauban. Hopefully, we will stay again when the Menin Gate is reopened.

The gardens are beautiful and well-maintained. We were treated to a warm welcome and a fabulous breakfast the next morning. Enjoyed every moment!

A 5-minute walk from Ypres’ market square, La Porte Cochere offers elegant country-styled rooms situated in a historic mansion. Free Wi-Fi is available. The hosts were excellent. Very helpful for planning my days and recommending things to see and do. The room was large, very comfortable, quiet and spotlessly clean. The bnb is only five minutes walk from historical downtown, restaurants and museums but I never felt unsafe even walking after dark.
