What a wonderful surprise to have discovered B&B Stirnimann for our two night stay while touring Switzerland. The area is peaceful and lovely and the stay was everything we could ever want and more. Our hosts offered us a warm welcome and made sure we had everything we needed for a perfect stay. The accommodations were not just clean but absolutely spotless and our room was cozy, spacious and very comfortable. We were allowed to use the full kitchen and living room and porch in addition to our room and that was such a treat for us on our long trip. The best part you ask? The best part was Hedi our host who we instantly adored. She is a gracious, funny, kind and friendly force of nature who made sure we were comfortable, offered touring and local information and provided us with a full delicious breakfast. There are some people and places that enhance a trip in special ways that you know you will never forget. Staying at B&B Stirnimann and meeting Hedi will hold a special place in our memory and we hope to return someday.

The staff were exceptionally nice and helpful. The faculties were great, clean, modern, comfortable. The breakfast staff were helpful and attentive, with great coffee and bread with jams. And the location was walking distance to most in-town things.

Built in 1586, the Gasthof zur Waag in Bad Zurzach is located close to the Rhine River, on the edge of the Black Forest. I was on a cycling trip and needed a hotel approximately half way between Basel and Konstanz. This led me to Bad Zurzach. What I liked about the property was the heritage building with its interior courtyard where the restaurant was located. Also, the staff were very friendly. There was a place in the courtyard for my bicycle to be safe overnight.
