It's a large, neat colonial house (bungalow style). All rooms are private with bathroom and arranged around a very lush courtyard. It's spacious and well-kept, fully a equipped kitchen and a Peri grocery store at the corner. Lots of couches and books to read. The host doesn't live on site but is super friendly and responsive. There's a bus stop at the corner with plenty of busses bringing you to the center. Overall, it's the comfort of a hotel with the convenience of a hostel.

It's done very nicely and the environment feels welcoming. Very short walk from the Tracopa bus station. The kitchen is well-equipped and tidy. The hostel was like a treat after a long trip from Panama. I also had a dorm for myself for that night so I rested a lot. Thank you!

Offering a casino, gym and free WiFi zone, this modern Sleep Inn Hotel Paseo Las Damas is situated opposite España Park and the Modern Art Museum. Everything. The fact that it is right next to Casino Colonial is fantastic as it is the best casino in San Jose by far. I have stayed here many times and will always come back.
