We dined in the restaurant most nights for dinner too, which offered the best local food options.

It is only a short walk to the lake but you can also walk to the next village with the oldest Chapel in Bavaria.

Proximity with the S-bahn also allows a day-trip to Munich (c. 40min by train). The breakfast is hearty with bavarian and german staples. The restaurant in the evening serves really amazing food with bavarian classics that were absolutely wonderful (best Kartoffelsalat i ever had).

The people at reception desk were friendly and helpful. The rooms were super clean and equipped with a fan for the hot weather. The breakfast in the morning in the cozy dining room was top notch. We loved this place so much, we came back after a stay in 2012. Highly recommend.

The grill was so wonderfully done and the meals so tasty. The best steaks out. Master chef quality. The location excellent. So quiet and peaceful. Comfy mattress. Clean facilities. Near to tourist attractions.
