Maison La Tourelle terletak di Baume-les-Dames, 43km dari Besançon Vesoul University dan 45km dari Time museum of Besançon. This historic home is a most special accommodation to stay. Dating back to the 15 hundreds, it has been expertly restored. The spacious rooms are tastefully decorated. The bed and pillows were comfortable and the linens crispy and clean. We arrived on bicycles and were able to check in early since our room was ready. There is a large secure area for bike parking with outlets for e-bikes. We were made to feel very welcome.

The property and the BnB were amazing. The room was farm house elegant and the hosts were welcoming and friendly. It was obvious they cared deeply about the region and making sure their guests are well served. Dinner is worth the extra splurge. All in all it was relaxing and I felt pampered in the peace and quiet of the region. I would return in a heartbeat.

The maison is beautiful, the breakfast which was made in-house and from local products was fresh and tasty with an abundance of coffee. Sandra was an excellent host where no request was too much trouble, and who recommended things to do and restaurants nearby . She and Andre have created a special stay which would be a great base for a longer stay in the Jura region.

What a treat to find this lovely stay and friendly host along the Via Francigena! Located right on the Way, Sophie’s B&B is a grand and historic villa with breathtaking views of the Jura mountains from the terrace and every room. The grounds were lovely, the rooms beautifully appointed and spacious, and the pool an unexpected gem! We had access to comfy and inviting spaces inside and outside, to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Sophie made us feel right at home. The delicious meal she prepared was served in the gorgeous dining room with wood carved fireplace and mountains framing the picture window. Our stay at Villa Meyreim was memorable and has put the lovely village of Mouthier-Haute-Pierre on the map for us. We highly recommend this stay — especially after a long tiring walk from Ornans on the Via Francigena pilgrim path!

And they have a great sense of humour, too. Lots of worthwhile visiting villages, museums, history and art are close by.
