Dating from around 1659, the String of Horses is a traditional coaching inn is set in the country village of Faugh, 8 miles from Carlisle and junction 43 of the M6 motorway. Breakfast was served by a very friendly lady. Nothing was too much trouble.

This is a lovely place to spend 1 or several nights. House is immaculately kept and owners are on site and very accommodating.
