Hosts are the best! They are really helpful. They helped us to book trips to Tikal and Belize city and also booked boats (even in odd times) to Flores. They are really nice. Property is 5 mins boat ride across Flores town. It’s in a nice garden and has amazing views of the lake.

Zapote Tree Inn is located less than 16 minutes from Flores' airport and 4 minutes away from Flores island by boat, located at a privileged point to appreciate sunsets and sunrises overlooking the... This hotel is such a little paradise :) The terrace, the pool and the hundreds of tropical plants truly made this place special and were a nice break from Flores’ heat. Peter made us feel at home as soon as we arrived, and everyone was really helpful and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay.

We had two amazing stays at Ximel house! Hilda and Elvis are so helpful, kind, and accommodating. Hilda helped us do our laundry, stored our luggage during our 5 day trek, and even helped bring us to Flores on a 4:45 am early lancha. The area is lovely, calm, and a short boat ride from Flores. I cannot recommend this place enough!

The house exceeded expectations immediately! Amazingly clean and almost brand new! Big spacious room with new amenities. The host was friendly and helped us with anything we needed.

Everything about this place is just so pleasant and nice - the staff, the vibe, the coffee, the common areas, the location. We’ve been travelling for a few weeks now and stayed in some really good places. But none of them have had everything on point - which this place have. Like not to an excessive degree. It’s just, for the amount of money you pay, it’s just worth as high a score as there is. And to give two examples of how forthcoming this place is: 1) we stayed an extra night at our previous location due to a storm, missing a night here - no need to pay for that; 2) we took the sunrise tour to Tikal, was able to still get the free breakfast when we came back AND could use all the facilities until our bus left in the evening. We were literally surprised several times of how much this place exceeded expectations.
