Beautiful location right on the river, surrounded by nature and beautiful views, a retreat from the busy-ness of town. It is only a short motorbike ride into town, and you can walk ~10 mins to get to an alfamart/indomaret. I did 2 days jungle trekking with Andi who was a great guide. We saw lots of orangutans and other wildlife, and he shared a lot of great information about the jungle. I went with a group and he was very attentive with the guests and everyone's different needs and comfort levels with the hiking. Dika, Dedek, and the rest of the family were so friendly and happy to answer any questions or help with anything, and make an amazing breakfast which is included. Andi arranged a car to and from the airport. Wifi was functional most of the time, which was helpful because I spent a lot of time working remotely in the restaurant. Bed in my room was very firm and comfortable, which is important to note because some different guesthouses where I've stayed have had very squishy, sinking beds. Bathroom has good showerhead water pressure, a western style toilet, and bidet. They provide toilet paper if needed. Towels also provided. Screens on windows prevent mosquitos from getting inside, and there is a fan inside the room for when it gets hot. Overall, a beautiful place to stay and a family business that makes you feel like family. Highly recommend!

JUNGLE LIFE GUEST HOUSE - Trekking & Transport Only Book With Us se află pe malul mării în Bukit Lawang și are un bar. Alek and Nabil are really great hosts who are Bukit Lawang's second best feature after the orangutans! The balcony has a lovely view out over the river and the location is perfect in amongst the locals.

Sumatra Orangutan Discovery Villa se găsește în Bukit Lawang, într-o clădire ce datează din 2020, și are o grădină și camere cu WiFi gratuit. Această pensiune oferă o terasă și vedere la munte. The best part of the property is the staff. Owner, Tyson welcomed me explained everything needed. A young lady working at the cafe (Diza, sorry if I mistaken the name)made me one of the best meals in Indonesia I’ve ever tried. Sweet dog and cat were also welcoming and slept under my room’s door at night.The room was simple but very clean with beautiful garden setting. The location is a little bit out of town, but walkable and very quiet. Tyson also organized a jungle trek for me and that was also very good. We saw 8 orangutans)

Excellent family that made feel as a member of their warm and kind community ❤️ They treated me so kind, they were helpful and took care of me what was really nice. Thank you 😊 Their jungle trekking also was high-quality in service, attention and entertainment. I stayed several weeks instead of a few days, def would like to come back.

Sahnan Guest House se găsește în Bukit Lawang și oferă o grădină și o terasă, precum și un restaurant. There was nothing not to love here. The property was clean and well-located, the staff went above and beyond for us by helping us organize rides and activities, the bed was quite comfortable, and the food at the restaurant was tasty and cheap. With the river running by so close, it felt like we were staying at an alpine lodge! The family running the guest house is extremely kind. We couldn’t recommend this place enough. Make sure to bring cash with you, though. As of writing this it’s a cash-only town with the nearest ATM about 7km away.

Sumatra Cheeky Monkeys se află în Bukit Lawang și are o grădină, un lounge comun, o terasă și un bar. My stay at Cheeky Monkeys was brilliant. Sarah, Ade and the team were fantastic and helped me out when I needed a last minute trek into the jungle. My guide Rial was fantastic too. A really peaceful escape.

Kupu Kupu Garden Guest House & Cafe se află pe malul mării în Bukit Lawang și are o grădină și o terasă. Personalul proprietății poate organiza servicii de transport de la/la aeroport. As a solo traveler traveling in low season, I expected there might be some inconveniences. however, the staffs of Kupukupu helped me to overcome all the difficulties, planning and arranging my trips well with good value. I also like the cookings from their kitchen. You need to order dinner in the morning then they can buy fresh food in the day and cook the dishes well. I tried some other restaurant with high rating in the village, unfortunately, their food are not fresh at all. I really appreciate the Kupu Kupu kitchen prepares the dishes with heart, even for one single guest.
