Location a little out of the way but compensated with free to use bicycles (20 minute cycle to town,15 minute cycle to the station and marina) and a pizzeria and mini shop only 5 minute walk. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Unfortunately we were not able to test the hot tub as it was a rainy afternoon so they closed it. Also, we missed trying the sauna which seemed quite nice. They also put coffee in the room which came to us as very nice and surprising. My 2 year old son really liked the small spoons they had, and they were super kind to offer him the whole box of them. We had such a nice time playing and eating with them on the way back, a lifesaver for a boy who does not like car rides ....

The breakfast with a view was excellent, and there were plenty of areas to rest and unwind. The hosts were helpful, kind and very welcoming — I would highly recommend staying there.

The Malaspina family welcome you to Castello Malaspina di Fosdinovo , set in a real mediaeval castle. truly wonderful for a different experience. free roam of the castle was delightful and exciting. it was so well presented and some great surprises. the staff were lovely and great breakfast too.
