This was my favorite stay during my trip! Surrounded by the countryside, this 280 years old house has all the charms of its age, but still reasonably modern amenities. The staff is especially friendly, helpful, and welcoming. And you can get amazing home-cooked meals too! If you want to go out of the beaten path and explore the rural side of Japan, this is absolutely the best place!

The food arrangement was a combination mostly of typical Japanese dishes with a touch of western cuisine. We stayed on New Year's Eve so we even got some special dishes on top! For drinks, there were also several home-made ones (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) to choose from. The owner was extremely nice! He and his partner have a lot of international travel experience, especially in Latin America and Spain. They have very broad perspectives, so it's not a problem to stay as a foreigner even if you haven't been to Japan before. The inn of course has a natural hot spring bath, and we were able to book a time-slot to use privately. It is a remote location far away from the city, so we could enjoy some time away from the busy city and do some stargazing as well. They keep several cats which are very cute and friendly towards the guests.

Disponibile e gentilissimo, sa dare ottimi consigli su cosa visitare, come arrivarci e cosa fare nei dintorni di Fukushima. I dormitori sono spaziosi e sono rimasta piacevolmente stupita dal materasso riscaldabile, che soprattutto nei periodi freddi, come quando ho alloggiato qui, è fantastico. Posizione comodissima dalla stazione. Atmosfera accogliente, un ottimo posto dove conoscere altri viaggiatori. Inoltre dispone di un ristorante e bar nella zona comune che merita davvero.
