We had an unforgettable stay at Satsuki! The host is truly a heartwarming person – incredibly kind, caring, and always there when you need help. After we got lost while hiking, he kindly came to pick us up. We also had some amazing, heartfelt conversations with him – such a beautiful and thoughtful soul! He speaks perfect English and gave us great insider tips and restaurant recommendations. Thanks to him, we had the best Okonomiyaki at a nearby local spot – so delicious and unique! It was a completely different experience from Tokyo, where things often felt more impersonal. Here, everything was filled with warmth and sincerity. We also enjoyed a typical Japanese breakfast, which was simple, delicious, and such a special experience. It’s those little moments that make a Japan trip feel truly complete and authentic. The house is cozy, peaceful, and perfect for hiking. There are supermarkets nearby, and the whole area has a romantic and relaxing vibe. It’s an ideal place for couples, nature lovers, or anyone seeking a quiet break from the big cities. We felt completely at home and are already looking forward to coming back. Thank you for making our stay so special – this place and its people will stay in our hearts!

Hiroko is easy to talk to. She always checks in and asks how things are once she is available, friendly but not in a pushy way. She and Dane are nice couple, they always provide help. Staying here is like staying home.

Every night there is opportunity to get to know them. Very welcoming and caring atmosphere. Cleaning every day to maintain consistent clean environment. Respectful and accommodating. Host helped me reserve things and was open to questions.

Mempunyai penginapan 2-bintang, Guest House Oku terletak di Nara, 18km dari Iwafune Shrine dan 22km dari Stadium Ragbi Higashiosaka Hanazono. Please stay here! This stay is one of my favourite from my trip around Japan. Yoko, the guest house owner is so so friendly, she has a lovely, kind energy and she makes you feel at home. I went in January 2025 (winter) and stayed with two other friends in the Economy Triple Room with Shared Bathroom. I was amazed by how lovely the room was, the tatami floors and sliding doors had a wonderful traditional feel, and there was even a seperate connecting room with a kotatsu table! This is such a cosy authentic Japanese experience, I felt very lucky to stay here. After traveling around a lot, hotel after hotel, having the feeling of being at home is so important. The room was spacious enough for all of us and the futons were so comfy, I slept like a log. The guesthouse was very clean, both our rooms, the toilet and bathroom area was kept so neat and clean. There's even a communal area with a guitar and place to sit and drink tea. When we first arrived, we chatted with Yoko and she mades us tea and gave us snacks in this area, it was lovely. I definitely recommend this stay, the location was super convenient for walking to local tourist attractions. If I return to Nara, I would love to stay at this guesthouse again.

Close to train station, perfect for visiting both Nara and Osaka when you want to in the evening come back to a quiet and relaxing space :)

Nara IROHA terletak di Nara, 24km dari Nippon Christ Kyodan Shijonawate Church dan 24km dari Shijonawate City Museum of History and Folklore. This was by far my favourite stay of my Japan trip. Not only was the guest house absolutely stunning and tastefully furnished, within very close proximity to the deer park, I was welcomed so warmly and it really felt like home for the night I was there. This is more than just a guest house- this is a beautiful place to bring people from all around the world together.

We loved the attention to detail, especially the vintage record player with Japanese vinyls and how well stocked the kitchen was (oil, spices, rice, coffee etc. - the best we had in Japan!). Staff was very accommodating. Very spacious, perfect for our group. We had to change the group size due to a mistake of our own and it was very easy to resolve, thank you for that. We had a great time!
