The hosts were very friendly and welcoming - there was also a breakfast included (which I didn't remember getting). The house was full of history and souvenirs which I'm sure the hosts are more than happy to talk to you about. There is also "sake nights" where the hosts offered us a chance to try different sakes. There is only one shower in the facility, so there is a booking system to reserve your shower slot.

Uchi Matsushima Guesthouse è situato a Matsushima, a 23 km da Sendai City Community Support Center e 400 metri da Entsuin Temple. Great hostel. The owner is realy nice and gives alot of tips on what to do and see in the area. The location is amazing. Walking distance from everthing you wanna see in town. It realy clean.

Fantastic location, right on Uwanodai slope - actual ski-in ski-out. Host was extremely friendly and helpful, the food in the restaurant was great and good value. Nice draught beer! Shower in room with a shared hot bath that could be booked for free. There's a ski/boot room in the basement that opens onto the slope. The decor is a bit dated but in a very charming way.

The room is traditional Japanese room with futon and also air conditioner. The place has a shared bathroom and washroom. The food was very delicious. I had a very pleasant stay despite it was raining for two days straight. The lady who runs the hotel is also very helpful and kind towards a foreigner like me. Very recommended for people who would like to experience proper Japanese stays.
