The location is very quiet despite being by the main road. It’s located some distance from the safari but still relatively close by. we managed to see the elephant and even a leopard! The room itself was clean and well planned, all the basic amenities were provided for us.

The location is great, far from noise. It’s very calm and peaceful. The house is also very clean and spacious. The caretaker, Sadi (I hope I spelled the name correctly), is a super nice guy and always ready to help. He makes staying here even more special. Overall, I would highly recommend to stay here. It is also possible to organize a safari trip. The price seems fair, and the driver will pick you up directly from the house. I was very satisfied with how well it was organized.

Menawarkan basikal percuma, taman dan WiFi percuma, Wilpattu Mookalan Resort terletak di Habawewa, 39km dari Kumbichchan Kulama Tank dan 39km dari Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful. They booked a safari in Wilpattu only 1.5 days before our arrival and everything was very well organised. The safari itself was much better than expected: we had the luck to see 4 leopards, a sloth bear and 4 golden jackals, on top of many beautiful birds and reptiles. The resort provided breakfast and lunch to take on the safari, as well as snacks and drinks. Everything was very tasty and plenty. Also breakfast and dinners were very tasty and more than we could eat. All in all, we had a very good stay. Thanks so much!!!!

We loved this property and would highly recommend it. The host was very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. He cooked us dinner each night and a breakfast each morning. Each meal had a massive spread of beautiful food. The property is extremely clean. It is close to Habarana to walk in if needed, however we didn’t do this as we were tired after a long day. Thank you for being a great host.

Very flexible and friendly staff. Good size clean room and washroom. Young boys trying very hard to provide good services and they are providing good services. I think we need to support them. Highly recommend this place.

Staying at Sweet Home Tourist Rest turned out to be one of the best decisions we made on our trip to Sri Lanka. Instead of just a room, we had an entire private apartment, including a comfortable living room, which gave us so much space to relax. It was quiet, clean, and located in a peaceful part of town, making it easy to rest and recharge between our adventures. And considering the price, it felt like an absolute steal. What really made this stay unforgettable were the authentic experiences arranged by the hosts. Nilukshan helped us explore some of Sri Lanka’s most iconic sites with thoughtfully organized tours, the Wilpattu safari was stunning, and our visits to Anuradhapura and Mihintale gave us a deep appreciation for the country’s culture and history. Everything was well-timed, smooth, and stress-free. We also had the chance to join a Sri Lankan cooking class with Malsha, which ended up being one of our favorite memories. The class was fun, hands-on, and filled with flavor, we left not just with full stomachs, but with recipes and techniques we can take home with us. If you’re looking for more than just a place to sleep, if you want comfort, authenticity, and connection this is the place. Can’t recommend it highly enough!
