Located just right on the beach, you can see the ocean from the room. The room was clean, hot water, A/C was working. The breakfast was very good. If you have any preferences in the way of cooking, you can ask the guys and they will try to do all the best for you. The beach is very nice and empty. Nothing to do around, but if you are exhausted and want just to have a rest in peace and quiet-this is the perfect place for you.

Genuinely good people. There is a delicious and wide spread for breakfast. Quiet location by the beach and the entire home is so delicately and thoughtfully put together. It's filled with house plants and decor that really add to the aesthetic and wonderful location. A must visit staycation if you plan on visiting Bentota and would like to save costs but also meet amazing people.

The hosts were incredibly kind, always smiling, and ready to provide excellent advice and tips for exploring the area. The breakfast was delicious and thoughtfully prepared each morning. Their hospitality truly made my experience unforgettable. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Bentota!

We had an absolutely outstanding stay at Channa Villa Bentota, and I can wholeheartedly recommend this guesthouse to anyone visiting Sri Lanka. Having known Channa for over 10 years and having visited Sri Lanka six times since 1995, I can confidently say that this was one of the best experiences we've had in the country. From the very beginning, the service was impeccable. We were picked up from the airport and returned there at the end of our stay, just as we requested. The transportation was punctual, comfortable, and handled with great professionalism, which made our arrival and departure seamless and stress-free. The guesthouse itself is located just about 200 meters from the beautiful Bentota Beach, it offers easy access to the sea, and the rooms are well-equipped with both a fan and air conditioning, ensuring comfort regardless of the weather. The rooms are clean, cozy, and tastefully decorated, creating a relaxing atmosphere that made us feel right at home. During our stay, we also had the pleasure of being accompanied by Channa on several excursions. He guided us on a memorable tour to Nuwara Eliya, enriching the experience with his extensive knowledge of the region and its culture. His insights made the trip much more meaningful and enjoyable. We also visited the impressive Buduruvagalla Temple, which was a highlight of our trip, made even more special by Channa’s friendly and informative guidance. Additionally, we enjoyed a wonderful boat tour on the Bentota River, where we could relax and take in the stunning natural scenery and peaceful surroundings. Channa’s personal involvement and care truly made these experiences stand out. Beyond the tours, we had the pleasure of dining at the guesthouse, on invitation from Channa. The dinner was excellent—delicious, beautifully prepared, and served in a warm, welcoming atmosphere. I intendetd to write some more, but the place in booking is too short.

I was recommended to stay here after my family visited in December. You really are made to feel welcome. I had a late arrival 3:30am and the young man was awake to let me in with a smile. Communication was fantastic from making the booking through to the period of my stay. Breakfast was plentiful consisting of eggs different each day, fruit, toast, fruit juice and tea/coffee. The room was absolutely spotlessly clean as was the bathroom. It was obvious to see that there was attention to detail with having the room looking nice. There was even a fridge and the air conditioning worked well. The bed was also very comfortable. Very little noise from outside. They even helped me with my next train. Thanks so much, I highly recommend.

I highly recommend staying here. Every moment of our visit was a delight. I stayed at SunSet Guest House during my entire stay in Beruwala, and it was perfect. The place truly lives up to its name, offering real sunset views, the soothing sound of the waves, and freshly prepared home-cooked meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, all made by the host. Communication was effortless, as they speak English, and the host also speaks fluent German. I highly recommend this place and will definitely come back one day.
