They arranged a very nice safari tour. We saw leopard and lot of animals .i think better you booked the safari earlier because their safari jeeps also busy. Highly recomended ..

The pool was clean and at any time accessible, the rooms were tidy, clean, and very spacious. Large balcony, private and quiet. The location was great too. I spent there 2 nights and it was very relaxing. The breakfast was delicious too. Definitely recommend this place. Great value for the money!

The lady who owns the guest house is one of the most kind and helpful person that we met since arriving in Sri Lanka. The room is very clean and confortable, the guest house very peaceful. The air conditioning worked well plus a strong ceiling fan. The room was clean as well and the host provided an adapter in the room. He also welcomed us with two fresh coconut waters and on the morning of our safari at 5am he was kind enough to make us coffee. On our last day he gave us fresh watermelon slices before checking out. We were also picked up and dropped off from the bus station by the host. Very helpful and kind. Would recommend

Featuring a garden and views of garden, Mailagama Cinnamon Residence is a recently renovated guest house set in Kataragama, 21 km from Situlpawwa. There is a private entrance at the guest house for the convenience of those who stay. The guest house also offers free WiFi, free private parking and facilities for disabled guests. Great host. Took us through their spice trail and cinnamon processing plant which was a great experience!

Both a bicycle rental service and a car rental service are available at the guest house. My hosts couldn’t have made me feel any more welcome. They are kind and generous. As a single female traveller I felt very secure in their compound. I strongly advice you book your safari with your host. He’s a confident driver with a keen eye for leopards. Don’t think saving money will serve you well, take a private tour. The guest house is situated close to the park and near to the road the dissects the park. Take an evening safari on the road if you can. The accommodation is very clean. I found it hard to leave these lovely people.

Priya organized our pick-up from Ella and welcomed us with a fresh coconut drink. We also had lunch and dinner at the home stay which were freshly made and really delicious. The room was clean and providing everything you need. The location is close to a lake where Priya took us on a free bird’s safari in the afternoon. He also organized the safari to Yala NP and the transport to our next location. Priya and his family are going above and beyond to give their guests the best stay possible to a reasonable price. The air conditioner was cold, the water hot, the pool refreshing, the view spectacular, breakfast delicious and the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful.

I really loved the location, it had an excellent view of the lake and it is a great family run business. We had dinner at the cabana and it was delicious.
