We liked everything, the spacious room with the modern design as well as the adjoining little garden and the breakfast area, all very cosy and relaxing. But the best were the hosts who were very welcoming and extremely nice, helped us with queries, gave recommendations and were available whenever we needed something. We like smaller, intimate hotels and this bed and breakfast was just perfect.

We had a wonderful stay at 3 Aloes guesthouse. Nestled on top of the hill over Uis, it’s quiet, clean, spacious and offers a great sunset view of Brandberg. Just follow the signs from the east end of 2nd street - don’t trust google maps to get you there.

The lodge was spacious, beautifully decorated with a homely feeling. The owner was super nice and friendly. We really enjoyed chatting with her and learning about the background of the place and surroundings. The staff was super nice and helpful, too! The breakfast and dinner were high quality and professionally prepared. We saw a rhino from our room coming to drink at night. We also saw porcupines in the dining area. The whole place was very clean and had a very good atmosphere.

Stiltz Guest House offers bungalow accommodation built on wooden stilts situated in Swakopmund at the mouth of the Swakop River. Staff were very friendly, nice view over the ocean. We visited Stiltz Guest House in winter and we were provided with heater and electric blankets.

Located in the centre of Old Swakopmund, The Secret Garden Guesthouse offers simply decorated rooms overlooking the garden. It features a sun terrace. A lovely little family owned guest house just on the edge of town. It's within walking distance of all shops and sea front. It's ideal for groups or families and they were very helpful. Great breakfast too!

Leland #4 is a condo in a small neighborhood that is mostly residential and vacation rentals. It was very quiet the four days I was there. The unit is right on the beach with an uninterrupted view of the coast line. Even on cool, cloudy days, it was easy to enjoy the ocean view from the deck or even inside the unit. This unit was exceptionally well equipped. There were all kinds of kitchen appliances (even a toasty maker), a washer and dryer and very comfortable seating. The owner has somehow managed to provide everything needed without making the place crowded or busy looking. There were ample quantities of dishes, glassware and pans. Being off-season, there was only one restaurant and it was closed Monday and Tuesday. Shopping is either in Swakopmund or Walvis Bay so plan ahead for groceries if you want to take advantage of the kitchen. I was there by myself but I could easily imagine being very comfortable with more people during a stay. The host was very helpful and responsive. It’s an all-around great place to stay.
