At Misty Retreat, u get blown away in 3 stages.. 1st the picture perfect Bungalow- Pragati with its ample space and garden. 2nd, the polite and warm hospitality of the staff-Sathish & Jayavanthi and their 3 lovely kids, who tend to all ur needs with a smile on their face from the moment u enter the property till u leave(including the owner- Mr. Bopaiya and even their dog- blackie) 3rd, the convenient but quiet location of the property- u can drive to the peak or Madikeri with ease but it's away from any noise or bustle of the town. Honourable Mention: if u're there, u should try the homemade wine made by the lady of the house- Mrs. Bopaiya herself.

Anil and his wife were so welcoming and helpful. They would respond immediately and make sure we were comfortable. He helped us get a cab for our trip around and outside the city and gave us so much good food and coffee ! The room was simple but nice and very clean. The water was the hotter we got during our long stay in India. The house is located in a calm area, not too far from the center. You won’t regret staying with such nice people ! Don’t hesitate Thank you to you both :)

Best breakfast experience. We had hot, homemade breakfast early in the morning sitting in the verandah. It was a very cozy stay. Owner and family take care of all your needs and answer any questions you might have. Highly recommend if you are planning on having a relaxing stay in Madikeri. Free parking available.

Cordial and helpful nature of the Owner, manager and staff. We had faced some difficulties with our car and wanted an extention of stay during the busy season. The landlord helped a lot in this regard. The food was very homely and the small library kept the kids enagaged. The staff were prompt in help, be it for "untimely" snacks, tea/ coffee, taxi services or tour suggestions.
