A recently renovated homestay situated in Fenghuang, Fenghuang Ancient Town Lazy Cat Riverside Inn features a terrace. With mountain views, this accommodation offers a balcony. The homestay features rooms with air conditioning, free private parking and free WiFi. The location is great and the room has everything you need, + a beautiful view! The staff is warm, welcoming, extremely kind and always helpful. We loved our stay here and would recommend it to anybody! 10/10

At the homestay, the units come with bed linen and towels. Mr. Butler and his wife were incredibly welcoming and supported us with every request. The accommodation is in a guesthouse furnished in a typically Chinese style, and that alone is an experience. Solid wood or lacquered furniture, porcelain, and paintings give the feeling of being in a beautiful museum. There we also experienced the tradition of Chinese tea, from preparation to tasting.

She helped me plan my a day in Tianmen mountain and two days in Zhangjiajie. Without her I wouldn’t have been able to enjoy the parks, as I don’t speak Chinese and it’s hard to get by without the language there. She also checked in to make sure I was okay. I would recommend 100% anybody (Chinese or foreign) to stay here as on top of the service the rooms were also very clean and comfortable, spacious, etc.

My room was big, cozy and clean, the view was really nice and the host was great, she gave me a lot of tips to visit the city and she also helped to sort out my transportation for my following destination. The owner of the Hotel was very helpful, well organized and gave us always some extra information concerning f.e. visiting the local sights We had a very tasty Chinese brreakfast prepared from his mother.
