The family was exceptionally welcoming and willing to converse, and the daughter is very bright, and fluent in English. The room is in the back of the house on the first floor with a private bathroom. Overall, the accommodation was safe, friendly, and a great place to spend a few days while exploring Cartagena.

The best part of the stay was Rosario's friendliness, along with Ms. Martha (? - I think that was her name?). They gave us a lot of care and excellent recommendations on things to see, places to eat, transportation, etc. They are great ambassadors for Cartagena!

Hostel Santa Cruz del Islote is located in the Corales Archipelago of the San Bernardo Islands, on the islet of Santa Cruz. Have a restaurant, bar and shared lounge. The view is amazing, the staff are so friendly & food is good! I highly suggest staying here as you get to be on the island with the real locals, but you can get to other islands/beaches by a boat they organize for you. It''s super safe too.
