The place really has a character which you are looking for when you come to Hydra. Highly recommend!

Everything that we needed had been supplied and thought of in detail, on top of all of this was the lovely welcome from the host and hostess. We would highly recommend staying at the property, as it was such a lovely experience for us, and hope that one day we may be able to return. One thing I didn’t mention was the view from the balcony, which is where we had our breakfast every morning and had an incredible view of life in the port.

We had the Vorias room which had the fantastic private terrace. The view over the harbour was spectacular. We loved just watching all the boats coming and going below us. Getting up to this accomodation is quite challenging with luggage but this is explained before you book. It is not for people with mobility issues but it is definitely worth the effort plus it's a good CV workout! It says there is no breakfast but we were pleasantly surprised that there is a kettle, coffee, tea, fridge, orange juice, biscuits and water provided. At the bottom of the steps before the climb up, there is a lovely bakery so we bought a few items for breakfast there.

I love the beautiful stone walls and lovely decor. The owner, Kostas is very sweet and helpful. The room was cleaned daily and had a lovely shared veranda. It's close to everything in town. It's also very quiet except for the occasional donkey or rooster 😂
