We arrived quite late in the evening but Rani and Oussama made us feel really welcome from the start. The room has a comfortable bed, is lovingly furnished and is very clean. The views from the house are lovely. We booked the shorter tour to Gunung Bromo through Maison Manendra and that was very well organised and a nice surprise because the chosen route avoids most of the crowds (especially for the sunrise). The food shared around the big table on the rooftop terrace was always fresh and delicious and we had some very nice conversations with the other guests and also Rani and Oussama.

He picked us up at the train station, drove us to an atm, arranged our bromo tour, woke up in the middle of night to make us coffee and drove us back to the train station. The room is good for the price.

Stayed here for 2 nights and had a great stay. The host is wonderful and super helpful with planning tours to Ijen, renting motorbike and any other inquiries you may have. He was easy to communicate with and gave us great tips on local places to go check out. He makes a great breakfast and even made sure we had fried bananas as a snack before leaving for our Mount Ijen tour at midnight. He really makes this homestay have tremendous value! The rooms and bathroom were clean and spacious. It was nice to have the toilet and shower separated by a small wall and there was hot water in the shower. The bed was comfortable and the AC worked well enough to keep us cool. The WiFi worked well, as we had no issues when browsing the internet and looking at reviews of places/tours. My wife and I had a wonderful stay here and I would highly recommend. Great base for Ijen tours.

The hosts, Fryda and Imran, go out of their way to ensure your stay is as good as can be. When we arrived we were not feeling well (Bali belly) and Fryda raced to their local shop to buy us some fresh coconut water. On the second day, they both took the morning to drive us to a coffee plantation and a local batik painting shop and workshop. Further, Fryda helped us book our train tickets. The breakfasts were excellent and facilities and rooms were simple but clean. This is a homestay and Fryda and Imran welcome you in with open arms. Highly recommend staying here if you are after a budget friendly homestay. Thanks Fryda and Imran, hope to see you again someday.
