One of the best accommodations I’ve ever had. Mr. Kaesa was extremely helpful — he was waiting for us upon arrival and provided us with the most detailed information about Berastagi and the trek to Gunung Sibayak. The rooms were clean and spacious, and breakfast was available. As a bonus, the price was extremely low — almost ridiculously cheap considering everything that was included. I highly recommend this accommodation to anyone visiting Berastagi.

The location next to the lake, the spacious and extremely clean room, the shower with more than sufficient hot water, the clean sheets and comfortable mattress which is firm enough without being too soft for those of us with lower back issues, and Mr. Dimmer who made us feel extremely welcome. He even provided a room for our driver since we arrived much later than expected due to the long line of vehicles waiting to get on the ferry from Parapat to Samosir. We really appreciated everything he did for us.

It is all about location, location, location. The view is exceptional. Room was clean, quiet, and very comfortable. Nice bed. Robert was a great host and super helpful. The homestay is still relatively new, but he's been in the area for years and knows it very well. Took a one day tour with him and a few other guests. It was fantastic. Things, culture, people, and places I never would have found otherwise. Wish I could have stayed longer.

Alek and Nabil are really great hosts who are Bukit Lawang's second best feature after the orangutans! The balcony has a lovely view out over the river and the location is perfect in amongst the locals.

There was nothing we didn’t like. Comfortable beds, beautifully decorated room, amazing tropical garden, delicious food in the restaurant, the well organised and executed overnight tour into the jungle (yes, we were lucky to see orangutans in the wild) But it is the people working at the Orangutan discovery villa that made our stay unforgettable - highly hospitable, accommodating, genuine in every way. If we are ever to go back to Bukit Lawang it will be the this place.

SeaGate Bungalows se află în Sabang și include o grădină, o zonă de plajă privată, o terasă, și WiFi gratuit în întreaga proprietate. We had the most amazing stay at Seagate bungalow. The location is fantastic, a secluded bay with incredible snorkelling out front halfway between Sabang and Gapang. The bungalow has great hot shower, mini fridge, drinking water, tea and coffee, mosquito net over the bed, fan and even an hammock on the terrace. Plus Broja and Yunyun are the loveliest hosts, gave us great tips, and Yunyun prepares the best breakfasts. We never wanted to leave!

Sumatra Cheeky Monkeys se află în Bukit Lawang și are o grădină, un lounge comun, o terasă și un bar. The owner was so kind. Let me stay in a slightly more expensive room inside without paying the difference and got a ride back to the guesthouse from the city center at night. I wasn’t there for long but definitely felt it was a good deal for the price. It is pretty far from the center of butik lawang. You can walk it in 20min or get a tuktuk for 30rp. The walk is nice. You get to see another side to the area.

Kupu Kupu Garden Guest House & Cafe se află pe malul mării în Bukit Lawang și are o grădină și o terasă. Personalul proprietății poate organiza servicii de transport de la/la aeroport. Very cozy place with a nice and quite atmosphere. A little walk to the juggle makes it super private place to stay. The staffs very friendly and speak fluent English.
