I would love to return for longer next time.

Very homely stay, almost like I was visiting my old parents house. It's a guest house with only 3 rooms, so it's quiet and private. Had very welcoming staff interactions and this is a great place to stay and explore the local islands from.

This is the BEST guest house we've stayed in during our time in Japan. It is spacious, modern, immaculate, and comfortable. We cooked a lovely dinner in the well-appointed kitchen (there is a grocery store within walking distance). There were a few condiments and other things should you need just a bit of something. We also did laundry (hung some outside and some in the bathroom with this neat air heating machine). The shampoo and hand soap is absolutely lovely and worth a mention. There are a couple fun extras like a mini ping pong table and a tiny gaming console. Shin is a lovely and kind host, providing route and sightseeing recommendations. We only wish we had stayed longer!

Situated almost exactly at the halfway point of the Shimanami Kaido, this property is the perfect rest stop! Kai, who greeted us and showed us our room, graciously helped us throughout our stay. He found me a multi-tool to tighten my bike saddle post and also helped me ship luggage last minute. The property is thoughtfully renovated equipped with rooms with comfy bunk-bed set ups and comfortably-large shared bathroom, kitchen, and living areas.

We stayed here half way on the Shimanami Kaido. The host drove us to a absolutely beautiful onsen / bath house nearby, perfect after a days biking. She then made a reservation and dropped us off at a restaurant, one of the best meals we had in our trip. The accomodation is super spacious, clean and homely! A lovely breakfast was prepared before starting our second day. I could not recommend enough, we would definitely stay again if we come back.

The whole family was incredibly warm and attentive, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The rooms were spacious and beautifully kept in traditional Japanese style, offering a peaceful retreat after a long day of cycling. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, and we had a wonderful night's sleep. We also opted for dinner, and we’re so glad we did. Every dish was exquisite and beautifully presented, you could really feel the love and care that went into preparing the meal. Breakfast was just as good. I wholeheartedly recommend staying here to anyone cycling the Shimanami Kaido. It’s not just a place to rest, it’s a highlight of the journey.

There is something so grounded and peaceful about this homestay in little town Mitsu. The owner cooked great breakfast and carefully attend my need. Moreover, the sea smell, the small coffee shop in the alley and the friendly people makes it hard to leave this place. If you really want a healing, go here.
