She will make sure you make the best of your time in Gifu. I didn’t have much of an itinerary so she voluntarily made dinner and brought me to a mountaintop onsen. She will fuss over you like a mom would. I had a mosquito bite and she was so stressed! Her home was also very clean and comfortable. She made a wonderful breakfast for me before I left. This stay was one of the best memories of Japan and I hope to stay here again. Oh and she is very easy to contact with. She speaks minimal English but is very efficient over electronic communications. She also offers to drive you from to and from the station. I really can’t say enough good things!

The modern touch was beautifully integrated into the old traditional feel of Magome. Very comfortable stay with a central location. The owner was kind enough to book us dinner for the night prior to our stay. If you are staying at this place, make sure to pre book your meal since dinner is not included and everything in Magome closes at around 5pm.

Even though the photos may look very 90s, the house itself is very cleanly and stylishly decorated. It is very much out in the fields and you hear all the wildlife if you open the windows. The host was very friendly and allowed us to check in later than listed for which we were very thankful.
