Location was also great, just a small taxi drive from the center (around 5 minutes). The room with AC was very comfortable and clean. You feel welcome from the first moment on. The whole family is very nice and helpful but especially the lady of the house is truly a sunshine. Not only the real sri lankan food she prepares is delicious but also the travel information she gives you, her helping hand in whatever you need, personal advice and talks. The owner was very helpful with everything; he guided us well about the local transport and sightseeing. Mirissa beach is about an hour's distance by bus and Hikkedua is about 35-40 minutes away. Unawatuna, on the other hand is just about 5 kms away from the hotel. The room was clean and spacious enough for two people. You can borrow cutlery from their kitchen. AC and wifi worked very well. The owner even accomodated as for another day on a last minute notification. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay. I'd recommend it to all travellers in Galle.
