The host Olegs was extremely hospitable and kind. We arrived at 12pm, he had prepared the sauna for us. He gave us a quick tour of the guest house/cottage. The fridge was stocked with stuff for breakfast as well as beers and wine (all on the house). There is a big nice bathtub for relaxing. The cottage was extremely clean and cozy. It is equipped with everything one would need for a comfortable and a pleasant stay. On our second day, Olegs actually brought us nice sandwiches and a bottle of Soviet champagne which was pleasantly surprising! Overall, it was a wonderful experience, would 200% recommend it to anyone who wishes to have a nice getaway for a couple of days to relax and unwind.

Great location, cheap, tidy, quiet. A very nice chinese family lives there, you meet them mostly when they dine, but apart from that you hardly notice they're around. They keep the place very clean and are very helpful. Bus and train stations, and the city centre are easy to access. There are also some shops and restaurants nearby.

The hostel exceded my expectations. It was the most quiet and clean hostel I've ever been. Even though it felt that there were many people, the common areas were always clean. The people who have it are really nice and friendly, and also coffee, snacks, and sampoos are provided, which was a nice surprise!

Although I arrived late at night, the host Oskar, came out to meet me off the bus, and then offered me tea, despite the late hour. I only had a short time to spend in Riga, but the town appears to have a lot of charm, and this is evident just walking around the area near to the apartment. The host is wonderful, open and polite, and non-intrusive at the same time. He offered me help and advice on what to see, how to get there, and how to arrange my travel. In every respect, this place exceeded all my expectations.
