He gave us tips and even made sure the generator was turned on if we were there during the day. The location was perfect, just outside the busy streets but still walking distance to General Luna. The place itself was lovely too. We stayed a week and felt right at home, kitchen/bathroom had everything we needed and everything was clean as well. No qualms whatsoever, loved it here and would highly recommend!

We spent 30 days in the Philippines, and this was by far our favorite place to stay. The location, the landscaping/grounds, the view, the room with all of it beautiful and unique touches were exceptional. The hosts Joseph and Elvira were amazing — super helpful with renting, scooters, tips for restaurants, arranging a masseuse to come to the property, setting up a private island hopping experience, and a surfing trip—you name it! The cold coconut water upon arrival, umbrellas, rain ponchos, flowers in the spa-like bathroom, the most luxurious bed and linens … I could go on and on. If we could give more than 5 stars we would. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This place is perfection. Close to bustle of GL for when you want to experience that, but removed enough to feel peaceful. The staff are amazing; Em was full of tips and suggestions. She was always quick to respond and helpful with anything you might need in Siargao. This was my second trip to Siargao and this spot really exceeded expectations and remains the best place I've stayed at in Siargao. The multiple backup options are also SUPER convenient. I was on a Zoom call with my boss, and the power went out, and it was not noticeable. The wifi still worked, a backup light came on, and the rechargeable fans kept me cool. They are really prepared for everything. The property is exceptionally clean as well. Highly highly recommend.

The hotel itself sits right up on the cliffs. If you have a room facing the ocean you can clearly see and hear the waves. It is one of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed at. The rooftop allows everyone to access this view as well and has a bar making it a great place to have a drink and watch the ocean or the stars at night. On top of all this the rooms are spacious, the bed is comfortable, and the mixture of the cement styling with the wooden features gives a wonderful contrast. Finally, the owners are very friendly, they both introduced themselves when we checked in and helped us throughout our stay, including providing contacts for surfing lessons which were great as it felt a lot less populated at the north of the island for this. Overall it is a must stay if you are in Siargao.

The owners were so kind and helpful, always happy to recommend great places to visit and share their positive energy with us. From the moment we arrived, we fell in love with the cozy atmosphere of the place, and our apartment impressed us with its cleanliness and homely feel. We had both air conditioning and a fan, so everyone could stay comfortable. We spent three weeks there, and during that time everything was kept spotless – the apartment was cleaned regularly, and fresh towels and bed linen were provided. We truly felt cared for, even more than we expected. It was our first time staying at TLShaw Homestay, but definitely not the last. We already miss it! We can wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone looking for a warm and welcoming stay.

She’s definitely one of the most hospitable hosts and checks in with you just enough. The location is pretty good, a decent 5 minute drive to General Luna. It’s affordable with all the basics that you need like air conditioning, hot water, and good internet.
