Depot 195 occupies a renovated brick building in a historic factory site in the centre of Winterthur, 500 metres from the train station. It offers a snack bar and free WiFi access. I was with my daughter who is disabled. She was given a key to a handicap bathroom that made all the difference. She was able to be independent and get showers, toilet, etc.

It’s not even dangerous, just a “curious” city block tho :) you can chill, no need to actually worry about! Best Cheap option in center, next to train station (Hauptbahnhof). Enjoy the city!

Although the space was shared by both men and women, it was almost like a capsule hotel, so I was not bothered by the space. I was able to manage my luggage in a locker with a card key. It is a little inconvenient that it is outside the room, but it is not that much of a negative factor. Bath towels were available for unlimited use, and the bathrooms and toilets were separate for men and women, which was a good consideration.

The host was so kind and helpful, and the facilities were immaculate! I was super impressed, given that this is a hostel. My room was relatively quiet, only some noise from the street, but that's to be expected in the city. The beds were very comfortable, clean, and the rooms were spacious. It was a bonus to sip tea on the rooftop terrace in the morning :) The location was also very convenient! Would highly recommend, and would definitely stay here again!
