It was super clean and nice layout of both small and big rooms. The staff was AMAZING and fluent in English and German, which is great. They gave us great tips on how to get by in the region, stuff that's otherwise difficult to google and the breakfast was super nice. Also the place was super quiet, no fans and a bit away from the city. The staff made sure that the guests were respecting the quietness.

Surrounded by the scenic Allgäu Mountains, this modern hostel offers colourful themed rooms in the heart of Bihlersdorf. Schiff Bihlerdorf has a large sun terrace and free Wi-Fi in public areas. The staff was very friendly, the breakfast was very good, the place is comfortable and clean. The restaurant is very cute. Good value for money. Also good self check in system if you are arriving late.

Good-size room with small table and a couple chairs. A strong heater for the cool fall weather. The location: perhaps a six-minute walk to the train station; just a couple blocks from the downtown area; and, a few blocks to a good grocery store. (A quick stroll as well to the Bayrish Pub, where I enjoyed a good evening with welcoming locals.) Shared bathroom? A reasonable tradeoff for the more-than-reasonable low November price compared to area hotels. What made the hostel all the better? The cheerful, easy-going, hard-working manager.
