This hostel is so lovely, one of my favourites so far. It's in an old building which is beautiful and a short walk from the railway station and the castle. The women's dorm is only four people so nice and small. You have traditional futon mattresses on a mat floor and curtains around your area. The washing machine is free to use, there are free bikes, free tea and coffee. The staff are lovely. I really wanted to come back again but they were fully booked unsurprisingly!

A great place to stay as family or with friends. Great coffee and breafast pleace right next door and the station 50m away. Highly recommendable!

Big thanks to the team! You won’t find a better staff! The lodge owners take care of their staff and the staff took great care of us! Daily breakfast and shuttles to local mountains were the perfect way to start each day! Shuttle: Staff was very accommodating when we wanted rides to restaurants and the walk back was reasonable; 25 minutes was the longest walk and was quite pleasant even in a light snow. Location: there are 10 ski resorts that are all different, so unless you wanted to stay on one and stay there, the location doesn’t really matter. We went to several different and the shuttle system the lodge runs was great! Starfall was also a 10 minute walk one way to the bus terminal and 10 the other to the train. Room was great! Beds were comfortable and plenty of space in our room. Closet had a waist high shelf perfect for a full size suitcase and more. Lots of hangers. Warm heater. Facilities were awesome-we had two daughters (9, 13) with us. They were very comfortable and had a great time with the staff. There are 6 toilets in private set ups. Never had to wait to use the bathroom. The two showers were also great. Warm outer rooms to undress/dress and spacious showers with two shower heads; nice hot water! We never had to wait for a shower either. Dry room: very helpful and had our ski gear nice and toasty in the AM! If anything, the room was a little hot while getting ready, but we just stepped out onto the covered porch to finish dressing for the slopes! Overall-can’t recommend enough!

Excellent vibez in this place. Meeting people from all over the world sharing their perspectives. Very easy to get around with the shuttle service. Excellent snow when we were there. Will definitely come back here when time is right!

This is the most beautiful place in our trip. Beautiful site with attention to every detail, amazing staff, and crazy view, it's a real pleasure to stay there, wholeheartedly recommended

1166 Backpackers terletak di Nagano, kurang dari 1 km dari Kuil Zenkoji dan 2.5km dari Stesen Nagano. Dengan lounge berkongsi, asrama 1-bintang ini mempunyai bilik berhawa-dingin dengan WiFi percuma. 1166 hostel is spotless and really cozy. The owner and staff speak really good English, so communication was easy. They were very helpful with signposting to relevant locations such some of the best food spots and how to get to the snow monkey park. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and would recommend it to anyone.

Location 10/10 Beautiful room! Spacious & large Morino is a warm welcoming lodge that will leave you with beautiful memories!

The best stay during our tour of Japan. This is the perfect feel of what a hostel should be like, a place to meet people who are also travelling and want a sense of community with fellow travellers. After 7pm there is not much to do in the region of Nagano/Suzaka, so socialising and drinking sake with others was an unforgettable way to pass time. The owners are very pleasant and they went to the local market to buy local delicacies for us all to share. Considering we travelled to the area just to visit the Snow Monkeys, this turned out to be our favourite stop and location
