Hostel is very pretty, traditional, wooden house and has great atmosphere. 2 common spaces could be used for relaxing. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Castle ruins are close, around 20-30 minutes by walk, highly recommended to visit. There is also tourist Kyushu OLLE: Okubungo trail between train stations Bungo Taketa and Asaji. We didn't have time to visit, but looked interesting.

We were offered a tea with cookies at our arrival, and they informed us about a local festival happening this night. The room and facilities were super neat and clean. Would 100% recommend.

Yufuin Country Road Youth Hostel se bucură de o locație excelentă în cartierul Yufuin Onsen din Yufu, la 49 km de Oita Bank Dome, la 2 km de Lacul Kinrinko și la 27 km de Gara Beppu. I had a lovely stay! The atmosphere is very nice, the staff are kind and helpful and the food is delicious. The space is very comfortable and feels homely. The walk to see the stars was very fun! It’s a bit of a walk from town, but if you go on the back roads from the lake, it is a beautiful walk with good views of the mountain and some nice Japanese houses. The shuttle bus in the morning was useful and I enjoyed the goodbye song. Thank you!!
