Kitchen always keeps clean here. Washing machine and dryer was provided inside the place. This accommodation concerns environment . The lady staff demonstrated information clearly with her friendly mind. I would like to say thank for her assistance. The place was clean and comfortable. You can walk for 7 mins to the rope bridge where cross over the beautiful river, waterfall and view point of Kinugawa. From Nikko, you can take local train with 1 changing station but during train journey is very amazing view beside the railway.

The owner was really hospitable, friendly, and always considerate of his guests and we had many good and informative conversations together. This was one of the best guesthouses I’ve been to in Japan, and I can’t wait to visit it once more.

My experience was perhaps a bit unique as I was the only person in the guest house for the duration of my stay. The shared areas are kept super clean and there’s a nice view from the terrace at the shared lounge. It’s a good base to come back to after a day of wandering about mountains. The dormitory beds are surprisingly spacious, cute store/cafe on the ground floor. The staff was kind enough to deal with my broken Japanese 🖤 Thank you, I will surely come back in the future!

I want to first thank the staff for their hard work! This hostel had staff members who went above and beyond. The staff were very accommodating and worked hard to communicate effectively. I was very impressed by the professionalism and kindness the staff displayed! I had no issues with the shared bathroom—I actually did not see anyone else use it during my short stay! This was a last-minute booking because I needed accommodation near Oyama Station. However, I was surprised to find that this hostel was more like a hotel. It was one of the best hostels I have stayed in! Interesting perks about the accommodation: - 24 Hour Reception - Free Towels and amenities - Key to store valuables under the bed - Reasonable Check-In and Check-Out time - Friendly Staff - Good privacy - Common lounge - Easy Checkout - Parking - Free Breakfast - Very clean The staff bent the rules for me, so I am thankful for their kindness! I would stay here again if I ever needed accommodation near Oyama Station!

50km dari Stadium Ragbi Kumagaya, 木の家ゲストハウス小山西口館 terletak di Oyama dan menyediakan bilik berhawa-dingin. Tempat penginapan ini adalah bebas rokok dan terletak 1.8km dari Stesen Oyama. The owner doesn't live onsite but arrived later to check that everything was okay. He was really kind, gave me an extra blanket, showed me how to use the heating in the dorm room and gave the kitchen a tidy and clean. It's a basic place but functional, a good budget overnight stop. Walking distance from Oyama station if you're light on luggage. There's a convenience store about ten minutes walk away but no other food options that I could see.
